Report on CME with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in association with Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals, New Delhi, successfully organized an important Clinical Meeting on Saturday at CH-3, IMA Bhawan, Bareilly. The meeting aimed to update doctors on the latest developments in cancer treatment, surgical oncology and robotic surgery, along with advances in modern medical techniques and treatment approaches. During the meeting, Dr. Harit Chaturvedi, Chief Executive Officer and Clinical Head – Oncology Network, delivered a presentation on “Cancer Treatment in 2026 – How Much Has Changed in the Last Five Years”, highlighting major advancements in cancer treatment and the latest therapeutic options. Dr. Nikhil Agarwal, Lead Consultant – GI Surgical Oncology, spoke on “State of the Art in GI HPB Surgical Oncology”, focusing on modern surgical techniques and treatment approaches in gastrointestinal and hepatopancreatobiliary surgical oncology. Dr. Pakhi Agarwal, Senior Consultant – Gynae Oncology and Robotic Surgery, shared insights on “The Role of Robotic Surgery in Gynae-Oncology”, explaining how robotic surgery is increasingly being used in the management of complex gynaecological cancers. The experts also interacted with the attending doctors and addressed their questions, leading to an informative discussion on modern treatment techniques, cancer management and recent developments in clinical practice. The session provided valuable insights into evolving approaches in oncology and advanced surgical care. Dr. Girish Agarwal, Scientific Chairman, IMA Bareilly, stated that such scientific and clinical programmes play an important role in keeping doctors updated with the latest developments in the medical field.
