Report on Aquatic Meet 2026

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly successfully organized an Aquatic Meet and Water Polo Competition on 26 July 2026 at the swimming pool complex of IMA Bhawan, Bareilly. IMA members and their family members participated enthusiastically in the event and showcased their talent in various swimming and water polo competitions conducted across different age groups. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary; Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Treasurer; and Dr. Rahul Vohra, Event Coordinator. The office bearers encouraged the participants and emphasized the importance of sportsmanship, fitness, discipline and a healthy lifestyle. In the boys’ category, Hridya Agarwal and Advik Singh secured the top positions in the 7–10 years freestyle event. In the 11–14 years freestyle, backstroke and other events, Namish Goyal and Rishit Goyal performed exceptionally well. In the 15–18 years freestyle and backstroke events, Divyam Agarwal and Aditya Patel secured the top positions. In the girls’ category, Ishba Irfan and Samriddhi Agarwal secured the top positions in the 7–10 years freestyle event. Anusvi Tiwari and Vani Agarwal performed exceptionally well in the 10–14 years freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly events. In the 15–18 years freestyle event, Ishita Agarwal and Charvi Pradhan secured the top positions. In the doctors and veterans category, Dr. Nivedita Chauhan and Dr. Kanupriya Agarwal secured the top positions in women’s freestyle. In the men’s category above 50 years, Dr. Vishal Saxena and Dr. Rahul Vohra performed well in freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. In the women’s category above 50 years, Dr. Harmeet Puri and Mrs. Dalima Agarwal secured the top positions in freestyle, breaststroke and backstroke. The special events included the under-7 boys’ tube race, in which Mohammad Ibrahim and Ekaaksh Singh secured the top positions, while Mariam Irfan and Trishika Bisht secured the top positions in the under-7 girls’ tube race. In the Kids’ Boys Relay, the winning team comprised Namish Goyal, Hridya Agarwal and Esharth Agarwal, while Rishit Goyal, Arnav Tiwari and Agastya were the runners-up. In the Kids’ Girls Relay, Vani Agarwal, Ishti Goyal and Nandika emerged as winners, while Anusvi Tiwari, Anika Verma and Gargi Agarwal were the runners-up. At the conclusion of the event, all the winning participants were felicitated. The IMA Bareilly office bearers congratulated all participants, parents and supporters and stated that such sporting events play an important role in promoting fitness, discipline, sportsmanship, healthy competition and camaraderie among doctors and their families.
