Report on Cashless Treatment–Road Accident Victims Scheme

With the objective of ensuring prompt and free medical care for road accident victims, a training programme under the CT-RAV (Cashless Treatment – Road Accident Victims) Scheme was successfully conducted at the IMA Bhawan, Bareilly. The programme was jointly addressed by the Additional Chief Medical Officer (ACMO), Dr. Pawan Kapuhi, and the Assistant Regional Transport Officer (ARTO), Mr. Vaibhav. They provided a detailed briefing to the attending doctors and hospital representatives regarding the provisions and operational framework of the scheme. It was explained that under this initiative, individuals injured in road accidents are entitled to receive immediate treatment at designated hospitals without any advance payment, thereby facilitating timely medical intervention and preventing loss of life. The training session witnessed active participation from doctors and hospital staff of several private hospitals across the district. Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary, IMA Bareilly, Dr. Shashi Kumar, Dr. Manoj Agarwal, Dr. Gyasul Rehman, Dr. R.K Singh, Dr. R.K Bhasker, Dr. Prateek Gahalaut, along with many other doctors, attended the programme. Detailed discussions were held on the procedural aspects of the scheme, required documentation, the role of nodal officers, and treatment-related guidelines. In addition, relevant PDF documents and training materials pertaining to the scheme were distributed to all participants. The officials expressed confidence that this training programme would enable all hospitals in the district to effectively implement the scheme, ensuring timely, quality, and cashless medical treatment for road accident victims.
