Report on CPR Workshop

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Bareilly, successfully organized an important and socially beneficial workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at Jai Narayan Saraswati Vidya Mandir Inter College, Bypass Road, Bareilly. Students from Classes 9 to 12 actively participated in the workshop and were provided with detailed information and practical training on life-saving CPR techniques. The main objective of the program was to equip students with the knowledge and skills required to respond effectively during emergency situations. Expert doctors explained the importance of CPR in simple and easy-to-understand language, highlighting the step-by-step procedure and its crucial role in saving lives during incidents such as sudden cardiac arrest. Students were also informed that timely and correct first aid can often prove to be life-saving. The program was attended by Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Secretary, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, President, ISA Bareilly; Dr. R. K. Bhaskar, Governing Council Member, ISA National; and Mr. Ravi Saran Singh Chauhan, Principal of the school. The dignitaries appreciated the curiosity, discipline, and enthusiastic participation of the students and emphasized that such training programs play a vital role in spreading awareness and reducing loss of life during emergencies. At the end of the workshop, the organizers expressed their gratitude to the school administration, teachers, and students for their cooperation and reaffirmed their commitment to organizing similar awareness programs in the future.
