Report on CPR Workshop at ANA College

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), successfully organized an important and practical workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on 19 February 2026 (Thursday) at ANA Group of Institutions, near Fatehganj Western, Bareilly. .The training program was specially conducted for BAMS students, in which around 120 students enthusiastically participated. Faculty members of the institution also actively took part in the session and benefited from the practical training. The program was graced by the presence of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary; Dr. D. P. Gangwar, President-Elect; Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, President, ISA Bareilly; and Dr. R. K. Bhaskar, National GS, ISA. The event was further honored by the presence of Mr. Sanjay Anand, Chairman of the Institution, and Dr. Bindiya Saxena, Dean, whose gracious presence added to the significance of the program. During their addresses, the speakers emphasized that in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, timely and correctly performed CPR plays a crucial role in saving a person’s life. They highlighted the importance of spreading awareness and training among healthcare students and professionals. During the workshop, experts provided a live demonstration of the step-by-step CPR procedure, enabling students and teachers to gain hands-on practical knowledge and the confidence to act effectively in emergency situations. At the end of the program, the office bearers of IMA and ISA expressed their commitment to continue organizing such training programs in the future so that a larger number of healthcare professionals and students can be trained in life-saving skills.
