Report on CPR Workshop at Gangasheel

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Bareilly, successfully organized an awareness and training workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at Gangasheel Ayurvedic Medical College & Hospital, Kamua, Bareilly. More than 100 students enthusiastically participated in the program, while teachers also played an active role in the training sessions. The primary objective of the workshop was to create awareness among students and teachers about life-saving emergency response techniques and to provide practical knowledge of CPR. During the program, expert doctors demonstrated the correct CPR procedure and explained how timely intervention can save lives in cases of sudden cardiac arrest, unconsciousness, or other medical emergencies. The experts also educated participants about basic first aid, emergency response measures, and essential steps to be followed during accidents and medical emergencies. Through hands-on demonstrations and interactive sessions, students and teachers gained practical understanding and confidence in performing CPR when required. Representing IMA Bareilly, Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava, President; Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Honorary Secretary; and Dr. D. P. Gangwar, President-Elect, were present at the event. From ISA Bareilly, Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, President, and Dr. R. K. Bhaskar, GC Member, ISA National, actively participated in the workshop and encouraged the attendees to learn these vital life-saving skills. The program was also graced by the presence of Mr. Saket Bali and Mr. Manish, whose participation added value to the event. The speakers emphasized that such training programs play a crucial role in increasing health awareness and empowering individuals to provide timely assistance during emergencies. They stressed the importance of conducting similar public awareness initiatives in the future so that more members of society can acquire essential life-saving skills. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks, with organizers expressing their gratitude to all participants, faculty members, and resource persons for contributing to the success of the program. The event reinforced the message that basic CPR knowledge can make a significant difference in saving lives during critical situations.
