Report on CPR Workshop at GRM School 2026

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in association with the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Bareilly, successfully organized a CPR Awareness and Training Workshop at GRM School, Dohra Road, Bareilly. More than 400 students, teachers and the school principal, Mr. Sheel Saxena, enthusiastically participated in the programme and received practical training in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), an important life-saving technique for use during medical emergencies. Expert doctors demonstrated the correct method of performing CPR in situations such as cardiac arrest and also provided hands-on practice to the participants. The participants appreciated the training and found it highly useful and potentially lifesaving. The programme was attended by Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary; Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Treasurer; Dr. D.P. Gangwar, President-Elect, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, President, ISA Bareilly; and Dr. R.K. Bhaskar, Member, ISA National Governing Council. On the occasion, Mr. Sheel Saxena, Principal, GRM School, appreciated the initiative of IMA and ISA Bareilly and stated that providing students and teachers with training in life-saving techniques such as CPR is the need of the hour. He emphasized that such programmes are highly beneficial for society. The office bearers of IMA Bareilly highlighted that such training programmes play an important role in increasing public awareness and empowering more people to respond effectively during medical emergencies. They stated that similar public-oriented CPR training and awareness programmes would continue to be organized in schools and other institutions in the future.
