Report on CPR Workshop at Police Line

A significant workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) was successfully organized at Police Lines, Bareilly under the joint aegis of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly and the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Bareilly. The primary objective of this program was to provide police personnel with training in life-saving techniques that can be used during emergency situations. Approximately 250–300 police personnel enthusiastically participated in the workshop and learned the essential methods of CPR through both theoretical guidance and practical demonstrations. The event was graced by the presence of senior officials from the police department, including SP Traffic Mr. Mohammad Akmal Khan and City Security Chief Mr. Pramod Kumar Dagaur. They appreciated this initiative and emphasized that knowledge of life-saving techniques like CPR is extremely important for the police force, as it enables them to save lives during emergencies. On this occasion, IMA Bareilly President Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, Honorary Secretary Dr. Anshu Agarwal, and Dr. D. P. Gangwar (President Elect, IMA) were present along with other senior doctors. From ISA Bareilly, President Dr. Ratan Pal Singh and National Governing Council (GC) Member Dr. R. K. Bhaskar provided detailed insights into the scientific methods of CPR and the latest guidelines related to the procedure. During the workshop, participants received hands-on training, enabling them to understand and practice CPR techniques so that they can respond quickly and effectively in real-life emergency situations. At the conclusion of the program, the organizers expressed hope that such training initiatives will continue in the future, further strengthening emergency medical awareness and preparedness in society.
