Report on CPR Workshop Fire Station, Bareilly 2026

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in association with the Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists (ISA), Bareilly, organized a special workshop on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at the Fire Station located opposite Bareilly College Gate, Bareilly. Around 80 officers and staff members of the Fire Department enthusiastically participated in the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to provide Fire Department personnel with practical training in lifesaving techniques, particularly CPR, along with the latest guidelines for responding to medical emergencies. Experts explained the correct CPR technique, emergency response procedures and the importance of timely intervention. The participants also received practical exposure through live demonstrations and hands-on CPR training. The programme was attended by Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary; Dr. D.P. Gangwar, President-Elect; and Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, President, ISA Bareilly. CFO Mr. Manu Sharma was also specially present on the occasion. The speakers highlighted the importance of CPR and stated that timely and correctly administered CPR can play a crucial role in saving the life of a person suffering from sudden cardiac arrest. They emphasized that such training programmes are highly valuable not only for healthcare professionals but also for personnel involved in fire services and disaster management, enabling them to provide rapid and effective assistance during emergencies. The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks. IMA Bareilly and ISA Bareilly expressed their commitment to organizing more such publicoriented training and awareness programmes in the future
