Report on Cycle Rally

On 12th October 2025, under the nationwide Fit India Movement initiated by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, Indian Medical Association (IMA) Bareilly Branch organized a grand cycling event titled “Sunday on Cycling” to inspire citizens towards health, fitness and an active lifestyle. The cycling rally commenced at 6:00 AM from IMA Bhawan, Bareilly and proceeded through Chowki Chauraha and Patel Chowk, culminating at Major Dhyan Chand Stadium, Cantt, Bareilly. Throughout the route, participants conveyed the message of fitness, healthy living and clean environment. The program was graced by the presence of Chief Guest Mr. Mohammad Akmal Khan, Superintendent of Police (Traffic), Bareilly and Special Guest Mr. Sandeep Chaudhary, Centre Incharge, Sports Authority of India, Bareilly. Both the guests encouraged citizens to adopt a healthy lifestyle and promote cycling as a habit in their daily routine. A large number of doctors, healthcare workers, fitness enthusiasts and local citizens participated enthusiastically in the rally. Prominent doctors who participated included Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava, Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Dr. V. V. Singh, Dr. Kamendra Singh, Dr. Manoj Hirani, Dr. D. Nath, Dr. D. P. Gangwar, Dr. Manoj Agarwal (Chest Specialist), Dr. Nasir, Dr. Sumit Agarwal, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. Akshat Bas, Dr. Kartikeya Verma, Dr. Vibhor Pradhan, Dr. Gyanendra Gupta and many others. They stated that such events spread the message of health, fitness and unity in society. The message conveyed was that “Fitness is the real wealth” and every citizen should adopt regular exercise and cycling in their lifestyle. The entire IMA Bareilly team members and volunteers contributed significantly in successfully organizing this program.
