Report on Deepawali Utsav
On 19th October 2025, Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly Branch grandly organized its Annual Diwali Festival titled “Tales, Twirls & Twinkling Lights – A Diwali to Remember!” at IMA Farms, Dohra Road, Bareilly. The event proved to be a magnificent blend of tradition, culture, music and celebration, filling the entire evening with joy, pride and festive energy. The occasion was graced by distinguished Guests of Honour — Dr. Arun Kumar, Hon’ble Minister, Forest & Environment Department, Government of Uttar Pradesh; Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, MLA Bithri Chainpur; Dr. M. P. Arya, MLA Nawabganj; Smt. Salona Kushwaha, MLA Tilhar; Dr. Umesh Gautam, Mayor Bareilly; Dr. Aastha Agarwal, Chairperson Nagar Palika Pilibhit; Mr. Avinash Singh (IAS), District Magistrate Bareilly; and Dr. Vishram Singh, Chief Medical Officer Bareilly. The Diwali festival commenced with traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by captivating performances including the “Samudra Manthan” act, traditional Rajasthani Ghoomar Dance, soulful music and energetic DJ beats that created a vibrant festive ambience throughout the venue. Fun games, surprise moments and delicious cuisines added further delight as the celebration continued late into the night. The highlight attraction was the grand fireworks display which lit up the sky with sparkling colours and truly enriched the Diwali essence. Under the leadership of IMA Bareilly President Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava, Secretary Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Treasurer Dr. Shalini Maheshwari and PRO Dr. Kamendra Singh, the event was organized successfully. Senior and young members of IMA attended the festival with their families including Dr. Rajeev Goel, Dr. D.P. Gangwar, Dr. I.S. Tomar, Dr. Girish Agarwal, Dr. Atul Agarwal, Dr. Mridula Sharma, Dr. Ruchi Srivastava, Dr. Archana Agarwal, Dr. Arshad Ali, Dr. Shayda, Dr. Anees Beg, Dr. Ravi Khanna, Dr. Ajay Bharti, Dr. Shivam Kamthan, Dr. V.V. Singh, Dr. Nikunj Goel, Dr. Ravi Mehra, Dr. R.K. Singh, Dr. Ratan Pal Singh, Dr. Suvidha Mahar, Dr. Pulkit Agarwal and Dr. Sonika Baijal along with many other members, whose presence significantly enhanced the dignity and splendour of the celebration. President Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava stated that this Diwali celebration of IMA Bareilly is not merely a festival, but a symbol of harmony and togetherness. Secretary Dr. Anshu Agarwal extended gratitude to all members, supporters, volunteers and media partners for their support in making the event highly successful. The radiance of lights, the melody of music and the unity of the IMA fraternity once again proved that when the IMA family stands together — every night truly becomes “A Diwali to Remember!”
