Report on Felicitation Ceremony for Voluntary Blood Donors & Camp Organizers

Bareilly, 1 October 2025 – The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly Branch successfully organized a felicitation ceremony on the occasion of National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. During this programme, individual blood donors as well as blood donation camp organizers were honored for their remarkable humanitarian contribution towards society. The mega event was hosted at the IMA Auditorium, Bareilly, and witnessed participation by a large number of members, social workers and dignitaries. The programme was conducted by Dr. Anju Uppal, Director, IMA Blood Center, who emphasized the significance of such events in motivating voluntary blood donation and ensuring availability of safe blood for patients in need. IMA Bareilly President Dr. Atul Kumar Srivastava, Secretary Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Treasurer Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, and PRO Dr. Kamendra Singh also addressed the gathering and highlighted the societal impact of this noble initiative. The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Dr. Umesh Gautam, Hon’ble Mayor of Bareilly. Guest of Honour included Dr. Arun Kumar, Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, MLA, Bithri Chainpur, Bareilly. The ceremony successfully promoted the spirit of blood donation, inspired individuals to serve humanity and further reinforced the importance of voluntary blood donation in building a healthier, more responsible and compassionate society.
