Report on Fire Safety Workshop

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly Branch, successfully organized a Fire Safety Workshop at IMA Bhawan, Civil Lines, Bareilly. The objective of the workshop was to create awareness among medical professionals regarding fire safety standards, fire prevention measures, and the essential guidelines related to obtaining and maintaining Fire Safety NOC compliance in hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes. The workshop attended by was senior officials from the Fire Department, including Shri Manu Sharma, Chief Fire Officer (CFO), and Shri Rajeev Kumar Yadav, Fire Safety Officer (FSO). During the session, they provided detailed information on fire safety regulations, emergency preparedness, evacuation procedures, and the necessary firefighting arrangements required in healthcare institutions. They also addressed queries raised by participants and emphasized the importance of adhering to fire safety norms to ensure the safety of patients, healthcare workers, and visitors. Among the dignitaries present were Dr. Atul Srivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Honorary Secretary; and Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Treasurer. The workshop also witnessed participation the of several prominent doctors, including Dr. Nirav Korewal, Dr. Ajay Gupta, Dr. Mahendra Gangwar, Dr. Manish Goyal, Dr. Pawan Goyal, Dr. Preeti Vaish, Dr. Ajay Vaish, and Dr. Kamendra Singh, along with many other members of the medical fraternity. Speaking on the occasion, IMA office bearers highlighted that strict compliance with fire safety standards is essential for all hospitals and healthcare facilities. They emphasized that such workshops play a vital role in enhancing awareness, strengthening preparedness, and promoting a culture of safety within healthcare institutions. The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session and a vote of thanks to the Fire Department officials for their valuable guidance and contribution toward improving fire safety awareness among healthcare professionals.
