Report on IMA Football League Season 3

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, successfully organized the IMA Football League 2026 at IMA Farms, Dohra Road, Bareilly. The tournament brought together doctors and their families in a vibrant celebration of sports, fitness, and camaraderie. A total of 12 teams participated in the league, including 6 men's teams, 2 women's teams, and 4 kids' teams, making it one of the most exciting sporting events organized by the association. Throughout the tournament, participants displayed exceptional sportsmanship, discipline, and competitive spirit. The men's category witnessed thrilling matches, culminating in a highly anticipated final between Neuro Kids Strikers and Rohilkhand United. Neuro Kids Strikers delivered a dominant performance and defeated Rohilkhand United by 2–0 to lift the championship trophy. Following their impressive victory, the team proudly celebrated their achievement as champions of the men's category. For his outstanding performance throughout the tournament, Dr. Abhishek Singh was awarded the prestigious Golden Boot Award. Although Dr. Ekansh Agrawal, captain of Rohilkhand United, was also a strong contender for the honor, Dr. Abhishek Singh secured the award on the basis of a superior goal-scoring record. 
The women's category provided spectators with an equally exciting contest. The final match between Nova IVF, led by Dr. Nivedita Gupta, and Auraderm Aurors, led by Dr. Megha Tandon, remained closely contested and ended in a draw during regulation time. The winner was ultimately decided through a penalty shootout, where Nova IVF held their nerve to emerge victorious and claim the championship title. The young participants also showcased remarkable talent and enthusiasm in the kids' category. In the Above-11 age group, Vedaan Invincible defeated SR Warriors to become champions. In the Under-11 category, President Panthers overcame Secretary Sharks to secure the title. The performances of the young players highlighted the growing interest in sports among the next generation and added a special charm to the event. The tournament commenced with a grand inauguration ceremony led by Dr. I. S. Tomar, Former Mayor, and Dr. Ravish Agrawal, State President-Elect, IMA Uttar Pradesh. The event was formally inaugurated with the symbolic release of pigeons by the dignitaries, representing peace, unity, and the true spirit of sportsmanship. Addressing the gathering, both dignitaries highlighted the importance of sports in maintaining physical and mental well-being and encouraged all participants to embrace a healthy and active lifestyle. They also applauded the efforts of IMA Bareilly in promoting sports and fostering unity within the medical fraternity. 
The event was attended by several distinguished members of the medical fraternity, including Dr. Atul Srivastava (President, IMA Bareilly), Dr. Anshu Agrawal (Honorary Secretary), Dr. Kamendra Singh, Dr. Ameet Murad, Dr. R. K. Singh, Dr. Shivam Kamthan, Dr. Brijesh Kumar, Dr. Vinod Rathore, Dr. Roham Gupta, Dr. Ekansh Agrawal, and many other eminent doctors who contributed to the success of the tournament through their presence and support. The closing ceremony and prize distribution function were graced by Dr. Arun Kumar, Hon’ble Minister for Tourism, Forest and Environment, Government of Uttar Pradesh, as the Chief Guest. The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, MLA, Bithri Chainpur, and Mrs. Salona Kushwaha, MLA, Nigohi, as Special Guests. The dignitaries distributed trophies and awards to the winners and participants and congratulated them on their remarkable performances. They appreciated the growing involvement of doctors in sports and praised IMA Bareilly for consistently promoting sporting activities among its members. 
In their addresses, the guests highlighted that sports play a vital role in maintaining physical fitness, reducing stress, and fostering teamwork. They described the active participation of doctors in the tournament as inspirational and commended IMA Bareilly for creating opportunities that strengthen professional relationships while promoting a healthy lifestyle. The IMA Football League 2026 concluded on a highly successful note, witnessing tremendous enthusiasm from players, organizers, and spectators alike. Beyond the competition, the event served as a platform for strengthening bonds within the medical community and promoting the values of unity, teamwork, and wellness.
