Report on IMA Winter Sports Week 2026

After several years, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, proudly revived its Winter Sports Week in 2026. This eagerly awaited edition marked the return of sports and friendly competition within the IMA community, bringing together members in large numbers to celebrate athleticism, teamwork, and camaraderie. The event featured four exciting games: Table Tennis, Badminton, Chess, and Carrom. Each game was overseen by dedicated event managers to ensure smooth organization and fair play. Dr. Vandana Gupta and Dr. Pankaj Kumar managed Table Tennis, Dr. Virendra Pratap and Dr. Roham Gupta handled Badminton, Dr. Praveen Agarwal and Dr. Shahsank Mishra supervised Chess, and Dr. Devender Singh along with Dr. Shivam Kamthan took charge of Carrom. Their meticulous planning contributed significantly to the success of the competitions. The Winter Sports Week was organized under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava (President), Dr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal (Chairman, Sports Committee), Dr. Anshu Agarwal (Hon. Secretary), and Dr. Shalini Maheshwari (Treasurer). Their guidance and active involvement ensured the event ran smoothly and fostered a spirit of healthy competition and mutual respect among all participants. Participants showcased remarkable skill and enthusiasm in every game. The Table Tennis and Badminton courts were filled with intense rallies, while Chess and Carrom matches tested strategy and focus.
