Report on IMA Winter Sports Week 2026 Inauguration

The Inaugural Ceremony of IMA Winter Sports Week 2026 was successfully organized by the Indian Medical Association, Bareilly Branch at IMA Bhawan, Bareilly in an enthusiastic and vibrant atmosphere, marking the beginning of a week-long celebration of sportsmanship, fitness, and camaraderie among IMA members. The Sports Week featured competitive events in badminton, table tennis, carrom, and chess, encouraging active participation from members across all age groups. The ceremony was graced by the Chief Guest, Dr. Raghvendra Sharma, Hon’ble MLA, Bithri Chainpur, whose presence added prestige to the event. The Guest of Honour was Dr. I. S. Tomer, Ex-Mayor, Bareilly. Second Guest of Honour was Dr. Ravish Agarwal, President Elect, IMA UP State. The dignitaries appreciated the initiative taken by IMA Bareilly and emphasized the importance of physical fitness, discipline, and sports in maintaining a healthy and balanced lifestyle, especially for medical professionals. The event was organized under the leadership of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly, along with Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Hony. Secretary, and Dr. Manoj Kumar Agarwal, Sports Chairman. The ceremony witnessed the presence of several senior and esteemed members of IMA Bareilly, including Dr. Devender Singh, Dr. Rajeev Goel, Dr. Vimal Bhardwaj, Dr. Virender Pratap, Dr. Pankaj Kumar, Dr. Ruchi Shrivastava, Dr. Anit Nath, Dr. Vandana Gupta, and many other respected doctors of IMA Bareilly. The inaugural ceremony was followed by high tea, fostering interaction and camaraderie among the members.
