Report on International Day of Person with Disabilities
The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly Branch (2025–26), in association with Jeevandhara Rehabilitation Research Institute, successfully organized a commemorative program on the occasion of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities 2025 along with the 33rd Foundation Day of Jeevandhara. The program witnessed the gracious presence of IMA members and dignitaries, making the occasion meaningful and inspiring. The event was conducted under the able leadership of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly, with the guidance and support of Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Hon. Secretary, IMA Bareilly, and Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Treasurer, IMA Bareilly. Dr. Pramendra Maheshwari, Chairman, Community Service, also played a significant role in the successful coordination of the program. The occasion was further graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. I.S. Tomer, Dr. Girish Agarwal, Dr. Ravish Agarwal, Dr. Vimal Bharadwaj, Dr. V.K. Chawla, Dr. Raka Chawla, and many other senior and respected doctors of IMA Bareilly. On this meaningful occasion, the Indian Medical Association, Bareilly reaffirmed its commitment to social responsibility and inclusive healthcare by donating an amount of ₹51,000 (Rupees Fifty-One Thousand only) to Jeevandhara Rehabilitation Research Institute. This contribution was made to support the institute’s ongoing efforts in rehabilitation, care, and empowerment of persons with disabilities. In addition to the financial support, IMA Bareilly extended its wholehearted cooperation by providing its auditorium and dining hall free of cost for the program, reflecting its deep sense of empathy and solidarity with the mission of Jeevandhara. The program highlighted the importance of compassion, inclusivity, and collective responsibility towards persons with disabilities and warmly acknowledged the dedicated services rendered by Jeevandhara over the past 33 years. The program was followed by dinner. The event concluded with heartfelt gratitude to all members and participants for their valuable presence and continued support.
