Report on Meeting for PPP Model
A significant meeting was convened today, 10 February, at 12:30 PM by the Hon’ble Commissioner to discuss important matters concerning the medical fraternity and related administrative issues. Apart from the Hon’ble Commissioner, the meeting was attended by senior administrative officials including the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Municipal Commissioner, ADM City, and the Chief Development Officer (CDO) along with other officials from the administration. Representing the medical community, several members of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly were present, including Dr. Atul Shrivastava (President), Dr. Anshu Agarwal (Secretary), Dr. R. K. Singh (Past President), Dr. Vinod Pagrani, Dr. Parmendra Maheshwari, Dr. D. P. Gangwar (President-Elect), Dr. Rajeev Goyal, Dr. R. K. Bhaskar, Dr. Ankit, and Dr. Karmendra Singh, along with a large number of other doctors. Overall, the attendance in the meeting was very good and the discussion remained positive and constructive. During the meeting, it was informed that the proposal submitted by IMA at the government level last year has neither received approval nor any objection or suggestion for modification so far. The Hon’ble Commissioner requested that IMA submit a more detailed and comprehensive application, which would help the administration in forwarding the matter effectively at higher levels. He also suggested that IMA establish direct communication with the Chief Secretary at the state level to facilitate faster progress on the issue. The administration expressed that IMA should soon submit a revised and detailed proposal based on the earlier submission, and that all new developments should also be communicated to the Chief Medical Officer (CMO). The meeting concluded in a cordial and cooperative atmosphere. However, it was also clearly agreed that until an official response or communication is received from the government regarding the original proposal, it would not be practical to move forward firmly with any new model or framework.
