Report on NeuroKids Mind Masters Open Rapid Chess Championship 2026

The NeuroKids Mind Masters Open Rapid Chess Championship 2026, organized with the support of the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, was successfully held on 09 August 2026 at the IMA premises, Bareilly. Players from different age groups participated enthusiastically and displayed impressive chess skills, strategic thinking and competitive spirit throughout the championship. The competition began at 9:00 AM, followed by the formal inauguration at 11:00 AM by Dr. Umesh Gautam, Mayor of Bareilly. The event was attended by Dr. Atul Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Secretary, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Shashank Mishra, Director, NeuroKids Mind Masters; Dr. Ruchi Shrivastava; Dr. Archana Agarwal; Dr. Shivam Mishra; Mr. Shivam Sharma; Mr. Anoop Kumar; and Ms. Komal Singh, along with several distinguished guests. The championship continued throughout the day with exciting and closely contested matches. The players demonstrated excellent concentration, logical thinking, strategic planning, patience and decision making skills. The competition featured several age groups and categories, with trophies and prizes awarded to participants for their outstanding performances. In the Open Category, Darsheel SuterI secured first place, Atharva Saxena finished second, and Zeeshan Ali secured third place. In the School Category, Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School emerged as the Overall Champion, while DPS Bareilly secured second place and GRM, Nainital Road, Bareilly finished third. The successful of the championship was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee, judges, participating players and their parents. All participants displayed excellent sportsmanship, discipline and enthusiasm throughout the competition. The prize distribution ceremony was held at 7:00 PM at the conclusion of the championship. The ceremony was presided over by Dr. Atul Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly, who presented trophies and prizes to the winners, runners-up and participants who performed exceptionally well in various categories. The organizers highlighted that chess is an effective activity for developing concentration, logical reasoning, patience, strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, particularly among children. They encouraged all participants to continue working towards improving their skills and achieving greater success in future competitions. The organizers further stated that such competitions aim to increase interest in chess among children and young people while providing them with a platform to showcase and develop their talent. IMA Bareilly expressed its sincere gratitude to all players, parents, guests, judges, members of the organizing committee and supporters for their valuable contribution towards the successful conduct of the championship.
