Report on Senior Citizen Day
The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly organized a dignified programme at the CH-3 Auditorium, IMA Bhawan, Bareilly, on Sunday, 12 July 2026, on the occasion of Senior Citizens’ Day, to honour senior doctors for their valuable contribution and dedicated service to the medical profession. The programme aimed to recognize the services rendered by senior doctors throughout their distinguished careers and to inspire the younger generation through their vast experience and guidance. During the programme, senior doctors were felicitated with bouquets and mementoes as a mark of respect and appreciation. The speakers highlighted that senior doctors are an invaluable asset to the medical fraternity and that their experience, dedication and spirit of service will continue to inspire young doctors. Their guidance plays an important role in strengthening the quality of medical services. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly, said that honouring senior doctors is a proud tradition of IMA. He stated that it is the responsibility of every doctor to respect and acknowledge those who have dedicated a significant part of their lives to the service of society and the medical profession. Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Honorary Secretary, IMA Bareilly, expressed gratitude to all the senior doctors and said that their experience and guidance are among the greatest strengths of IMA Bareilly. He assured that IMA would continue to organize programmes in the future to honour senior doctors and promote initiatives related to their well-being.
