Report on Summer Carnival

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly successfully organized its four-day Summer Carnival 2026 from 17 to 20 June 2026, providing an exciting platform for children and families of the IMA fraternity to participate in a wide range of educational, recreational, and creative activities. The carnival aimed to encourage holistic development among children by nurturing their creativity, confidence, communication skills, artistic abilities, and team spirit while strengthening family bonding within the IMA community. The carnival was inaugurated on 17 June 2026 by Dr. I.S. Tomar, Former Mayor of Bareilly, who formally opened the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The inaugural day began with an energetic Aqua Zumba session, where children and adults enthusiastically participated and enjoyed a unique blend of fitness and fun in the pool. The evening featured an Origami Competition for children below 10 years of age and a Poster Making Competition for participants above 10 years. Around 80 children and adults participated on the opening day, making it a memorable beginning to the carnival. 
On 18 June, the second day focused on enhancing children's language and communication skills through a Rhymes Competition for children below 10 years and a Spell Bee Competition for participants above 10 years. Nearly 50 children enthusiastically participated, displaying remarkable confidence, pronunciation, vocabulary, and stage presence. 
The third day, held on 19 June, featured a Kite Painting Competition for children below 10 years and an Extempore Competition for participants above 10 years. Around 50 children showcased their creativity, artistic imagination, and public speaking abilities, reflecting the primary objective of the carnival—to identify and nurture young talent. The carnival concluded on 20 June 2026 with an engaging Quiz Competition for different age groups of children. The competition was conducted by Dr. Harshdeep Sahni and Dr. Parul Priya, who made the session highly interactive and enjoyable. The quiz encouraged participants to demonstrate their general knowledge, logical reasoning, and quick thinking, with children participating enthusiastically throughout the event. Over the course of four days, the Summer Carnival featured a wide variety of activities, including Swimming, Aqua Zumba, Origami, Poster Making, Rhymes, Spell Bee, Kite Painting, Extempore, and Quiz Competitions. Each event was thoughtfully designed to promote creativity, learning, confidence, healthy competition, and overall personality development among children. The competitions were judged by an esteemed panel comprising Mrs. Neeru Prasad, Mrs. Rita Pandey, Ms. Vaishnavi Sharma, Mrs. Venus Verma, and Mr. Anant Bir Singh, who appreciated the enthusiasm, creativity, and exceptional performances of all the participants. The entire event was successfully organized under the leadership of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Secretary; Dr. Manoj Agrawal, Sports Chairman; and Dr. Suvidha Mahar, Chairperson, Cultural Committee. The carnival was graced by the presence of Dr. Ruchi Shrivastava, Dr. Archana Agrawal, Dr. Parul Priya, Dr. Sujata Talan, Dr. Shalini Arora, Dr. Pulkit Agrawal, Dr. Mridula Sharma, and Dr. Renuka Varshney, who continuously encouraged the young participants throughout the event. At the valedictory ceremony, the IMA Bareilly team expressed heartfelt gratitude to all the participants, parents, judges, volunteers, and organizing committee members for their invaluable support in making the Summer Carnival 2026 a grand success. The association also extended its best wishes to all the children for their bright future and reaffirmed its commitment to organizing such enriching educational, cultural, and recreational programmes for the overall development of young minds and stronger family engagement within the IMA community.
