Report on Tika Utsav

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly successfully organized “Tika Utsav 2025” in December 2025 with the objective of promoting complete immunization and strengthening public health across Uttar Pradesh. The initiative aimed to create widespread awareness about the crucial role of vaccination in building a healthy, safe, and responsible society. The program focused on children aged 0–5 years, adolescents aged 10–16 years, and pregnant women, highlighting the importance of timely and complete immunization for disease prevention and long-term well-being. Families were encouraged to actively participate and ensure that no child or eligible individual is left behind in the immunization drive. Participants were guided to register on the U-WIN portal after vaccination to obtain digital immunization certificates, reinforcing the integration of healthcare services with digital platforms for better accessibility, transparency, and record management. The core message of the event—“Essential vaccination for every age group, at one place, on one day”—was effectively conveyed and widely appreciated. The event was held under the able leadership of Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agarwal, Secretary, IMA Bareilly; and Dr. Shalini Maheshwari, Treasurer, IMA Bareilly. With strong support from the medical fraternity and enthusiastic community participation, Tika Utsav 2025 emerged as a meaningful and impactful public health initiative, reaffirming IMA Bareilly’s commitment to a healthier and stronger Uttar Pradesh.
