Report on Women Welfare Camp at Police Line

A Women’s Health Awareness and Wellness Program was successfully organized at Police Lines, Bareilly, under the aegis of Vama Sarathi in collaboration with BOGS, IMA, and the Women Welfare Committee. The program was conducted in a dignified and engaging atmosphere with the objective of promoting health awareness among women, emphasizing the importance of timely health screenings, and educating them about various gynecological and general health issues. The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Ramit Sharma, IPS, ADG Bareilly Zone, whose gracious presence added significance to the program. Shri Anurag Arya, IPS, SSP Bareilly, also attended as a Special Guest. The distinguished guests included Ms. Anshika Verma, IPS, SP South, and Ms. Sonali Mishra, IPS. The program was attended by several eminent medical professionals, including Dr. Latika Agrawal (President, BOGS), Dr. Atul Srivastava (President, IMA), Dr. Anita Nath (Secretary, BOGS), and Dr. Anshu Agrawal (Secretary, IMA), along with many other respected doctors. A series of educational sessions were conducted by expert healthcare professionals on important women’s health topics, including Cervical Cancer Awareness and HPV Vaccination, Causes and Care of Vaginal Discharge, Menstrual Irregularities, and Anemia in Women. The participants showed keen interest in these sessions and actively interacted with the experts to seek answers to their health-related queries. As part of the program, a health screening camp was also organized. Women in the age group of 35–45 years underwent cervical cancer screening through Liquid-Based Cytology (LBC). In addition, CBC testing for anemia detection and blood sugar screening were carried out. Approximately 80–90 women underwent CBC testing, while more than 100 participants benefited from blood sugar testing. A large number of women and attendees availed themselves of these valuable health services. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Atul Srivastava, President of IMA Bareilly, emphasized that women’s health forms the foundation of a healthy family and a strong society. He stated that such initiatives not only create awareness but also encourage timely diagnosis and treatment of health conditions. He further reaffirmed IMA’s commitment to organizing similar public health programs in the future. The successful execution of the event was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the organizing committee members, including Dr. Anuja Singh (Treasurer), Dr. Darkhshan Abbas (Clinical Secretary), Dr. Ruchi Srivastava, and Dr. Ashu Saxena (Master of Ceremony), along with the support of all committee members. The program concluded with a vote of thanks to the distinguished guests, healthcare professionals, organizers, and participants for their valuable contribution and enthusiastic participation.
