Report on World Donor day

On the occasion of World Blood Donor Day, the Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp along with a Stem Cell Donor Registration Camp at the IMA Building. The initiative aimed to promote awareness about voluntary blood donation and stem cell donation while encouraging more people to become part of this life-saving humanitarian mission. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Dr. Arun Kumar, Hon'ble Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of Uttar Pradesh. The event was also graced by Dr. I. S. Tomar, Former Mayor of Bareilly, as the Guest of Honour. 
The programme witnessed the distinguished presence of Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Honorary Secretary, IMA Bareilly; Dr. D. P. Gangwar, President-Elect, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Pramendra Maheshwari, Chairman, Community Service Committee; Dr. Anju Uppal, Director, IMA RSG Blood Centre; Dr. J. P. Sethi; Dr. Parul Priya; Dr. J. Bharat, CMO, ITBP; and Mr. Rajeev Singhal, President, IIA Bareilly Chapter, along with the dedicated team from ITBP. The dignitaries highlighted the importance of voluntary blood donation and stem cell donation, urging citizens from all walks of life to actively participate in these noble causes that have the potential to save countless lives. The blood donation camp received an overwhelming response, with 194 voluntary blood donors donating blood and setting an inspiring example of selfless service to humanity. Doctors, social workers, and members of the public enthusiastically participated in the event, making it a remarkable success. 
A Stem Cell Donor Registration Camp was also conducted simultaneously with the active support of the Dharti Team and the expert team from Sharda Care Health City. The teams educated participants about the stem cell donation process, its significance, and its life-saving potential for patients suffering from serious blood disorders and other critical illnesses. A significant number of participants came forward to register themselves as stem cell donors. 
IMA Bareilly expressed its heartfelt gratitude to all voluntary blood donors, stem cell donors, distinguished guests, members of the medical fraternity, the ITBP team, the Dharti Team, Sharda Care Health City, and all supporting organizations for their valuable contributions in making the programme a grand success. The association also reaffirmed its commitment to organizing more such public welfare and humanitarian initiatives in the future.
