Report on Yoga Day

The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Bareilly, in association with Taksh Yoga, successfully celebrated International Yoga Day on 21 June 2026 at the IMA Building (CH-3). The event commenced at 7:30 AM and witnessed enthusiastic participation from doctors and their family members, promoting the message of healthy living through the practice of yoga. The yoga session featured a comprehensive series of yogasanas, pranayama, and meditation practices, encouraging participants to embrace yoga as an integral part of their daily lives for maintaining physical fitness, mental well-being, and emotional balance. Approximately 80–90 doctors and IMA members actively participated in the programme. The event was attended by Dr. Atul Kumar Shrivastava, President, IMA Bareilly; Dr. Anshu Agrawal, Honorary Secretary; Dr. Pramendra Maheshwari, Chairman, Community Services; Dr. Ruchi Shrivastava; Dr. Archana Agrawal; Dr. Suvidha Mahar; Dr. Parul Priya; Dr. Shalini Arora; Dr. Roham; Dr. Vimmi Hora; Dr. Kamendra Singh; Dr. R.K. Bhaskar; Dr. Komal Kakkar, along with several senior and young members of IMA Bareilly. Speaking on the occasion, the office bearers of IMA Bareilly emphasized that yoga is not merely a form of physical exercise but a holistic way of life that promotes mental peace, inner strength, and overall wellbeing. They highlighted the importance of adopting yoga as a daily practice to prevent lifestyle-related diseases and improve quality of life. At the conclusion of the programme, the IMA Bareilly team expressed its sincere gratitude to the Taksh Yoga instructors and all participants for making the celebration a grand success. The association reaffirmed its commitment to organizing such health awareness initiatives that inspire healthier lifestyles and contribute to the well-being of both the medical fraternity and the community.
